This one is really good, what I like most about this app is that you AUTOMATICALLY get the savings. For instance some Walmarts are in their system and if I shop at one of those stores with my card that is attached to Dosh, it automatically (and instantly) gives me my cash back. The other day I was at Walmart not even thinking about it, and I spent $150 or so. $9+ was immediately credited to my DOSH account before I even walked out of the store.
A few cons that you might consider, but don’t really bother me.
1) You do have to put in your card information, this is so they can track and credit you. I had no issue with it because I trust the app but some of you might.
2) You have to have $25 in your account before you can cash out, and you can only cash out to PayPal at the moment. I prefer gift cards personally, but PayPal works too.
BONUS: Right now you get $10 when you sign up, in addition when you refer friends, you get $10 for each of them that signs up and connects a card too!
Qapital: Update: Was just told this one may no longer be free.
This is probably one of the apps that I have used the longest on my phone, this is literally a money saving app. What you do is you can set this one up and connect to your bank accounts, it will automatically round up purchases to what ever amount you set and move that money into a savings account.
I currently have mine set up to the nearest $1. Say I make a purchase on my Chase Debit Card and the total is $1.37, this app will automatically round that purchase up to $2 and move it to my Qapital account meaning that I get 63 cents in savings on this one.
You can save as much or as little as you like, and you can also set goals. Te nice thing is that you can set this up in a way where the savings is hardly noticeable. I have cashed out with this app a few times, and the money is FDIC insured!
Fetch Rewards App: Register using code H9JFW (you will need code to get the bonus credit)
The Fetch Rewards App is currently a favorite or everyones who uses it. This one gives you points when you scan you receipts. The nice thing is right when you sign up there is a bonus of $3 when you scan your first receipt. In addition, you can tell your friends about it using your referral code and when they sign up and scan a receipt, you get another $3 from them.
This one is nice because it doesn’t really take any banking or credit card information at all, and cashing out is easy, instant and hassle free!
I feel like Ibotta is one of the originals, and I love Ibotta because there are some really good savings AND THEY HAVE FREEBIES REGULARLY! The way to look at this app is kind of as a rebate based coupon system of sorts. You make purchases that are in the app and then you scan your receipt to get cash back. They are pretty helpful, but remembering to scan a receipt and use the app to check for the products beforehand isn’t always the easiest thing. Still, this app is definitely in my phone and does get used regularly.
