Okay so I recently received purchased an Instant Pot on a Black Friday deal from Amazon and what is the first thing I make? Answer: Honey BBQ Wings!
Holy Moly. So far the Instant Pot definitely lives up to the hype. Making these Pressure Cooker Honey BBQ Wings was easy. In fact, I made them for dinner then turned around and made them again the very next day for lunch.
Most of the items for this recipe I had in my kitchen already. I had to go out and buy the bag of frozen chicken wings (you don’t have to thaw them even!!) and some BBQ sauce. I think I spent about $9 total on this recipe due to the ingredients I already had around. Some of you may have everything you need!
Check out this recipe below!
PS. Here is a link to the Instant Pot that I purchased.
Instant Pot Honey BBQ Wings
Easy wings that the family will love
- 1 cup favorite BBQ Sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2.5 lbs frozen chicken wings (can use thawed)
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Add Frozen Chicken to Instant Pot
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken in the instant pot
Set pressure on high for 12 minutes if you are using frozen wings, 10 minutes for thawed wings.
Once done cooking, do the quick release valve until all pressure has been released. Remove the lid and place the cooked chicken wings on a broiler pan or foil lined pan. Baste with some of the remaining BBQ Sauce, broil in the oven on high for 5 minutes
Turn wings over, baste and broil another 2 minutes
